WCES Executive Board

  • WCES is governed by a Governing Board and Executive Board.  The boards shall have those powers and duties assigned to them in the Articles of Joint Agreement.  

    The Governing Board is comprised of 10 members and the Executive Board is made up of the Superintendents of the five county member school districts. 

Executive Board Functions

  • The Executive Board responsibilities and authority is described in the Williamson County Articles of Joint Agreement.  In order to serve on the Executive Board and individual must be a Superintendent of a Member District. 

Governing Board Functions

  • The Governing Board is composed of one Board of Education member selective by the respective Boards of Education and the Superintendent from each member district.  The board meets twice per year, in March and September. 

    The Governing Board is authorized to delegate to the Executive Board authority to manage particular operations of the Joint Agreement program and to seek the advice of the Executive Board on matters pertaining to employment and budget.
