STRUCTURE Programs

Williamson County Special Education District offers comprehensive services for students that require intensive small group instruction with a focus on behavior management.  This occurs in several learning environments ranging from a behavior intervention plan provided in the regular education environment to full time specialized programs.

Students who require intensive emotional and behavioral supports may attend self-contained special education classrooms located in general education buildings within Williamson County.

An intensive alternative educational program, The Learning Center is designed for students who require behavioral/emotional supports in a more structured environment.

Each classroom utilizes Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to support and encourage appropriate behaviors. Teachers and staff participate annually in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Social skills training is emphasized by teachers as well as through social work services.
