Pre-K Screening Information

In order to be considered for a Pre-K classroom, every child must complete a screening process.  This process consists of a child and family questionnaire, an assessment of your child’s development, and a vision and hearing screening.

At the end of your child’s screening, the results will be explained to you.  Feel free to voice any questions and/or concerns you may have about your child’s development.

After the screening process is complete, you will be contacted by mail or by phone informing you if your child will be accepted into a classroom.  Unfortunately, we have waiting lists for our program so everyone will not be accepted.  Being an at-risk program, we will serve students who are determined by their screening of needing our program the most.

If your child is placed on a waiting list, we will contact you IF an opening becomes available within your school district.

Our main screening event is held every March and we also offer monthly screenings on an as needed basis.  Screening appointments can be scheduled by calling 618-993-2138.
